The FinTech Center of the Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences (IIIS-FTC) is devoted to the interdisciplinary research between Information Sciences and Finance. The IIIS-FTC is headed by world-renowned computer scientist and the Turing Award laureate, Prof. Andrew Chi-Chih Yao, and FinTech expert Prof. Hao Zou serves as its executive director. The IIIS-FTC derives its research capability from more than 30 IIIS faculty members’ years of research work in Financial Technology, Computational Economics, Game Theory, AI, Big Data, and Cloud Computing, and the Center aims to apply these state of the art research to improving the efficiency and competitiveness of the financial industry. The IIIS-FTC also collaborates with the tech and financial industry for joint research projects. Current industry partners include Alibaba/Ant Financial Group, NetEase Finance, BOCOM Group, as well as other top companies in the tech and financial industry. FTC currently invites applications for Tenure-Track and Research Faculty positions in areas including (but not limited to), Artificial Intelligence, Data Science/Big Data, Cryptocurrency/Blockchain/Distributed Ledgers, Computer and Web Security, Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance, Credit Modeling, Computer and Telecommunication Systems, Databases, and Optimization Theory.
Positions at Assistant/Associate/Full Professor levels are available. The remuneration package will be very attractive, driven by market competitiveness and individual qualification.
